End of Football Season Statistics


  1. Most headed goals in Europe's top 5 leagues this season: Athletic Bilbao 19, Marseille 17, Lyon/Man Utd/Schalke/Osasuna 16
  2. Gianluigi Buffon: Had the best save success rate of all goalkeepers in Europe's top 5 leagues this season, saving 82% of shots he faced
  3. David de Gea: Had the best save success rate (77.8%) of all goalkeepers in the PL this season (min 10 apps). 
  4. Samba DiakitĂ© averaged 135 mins per yellow card - the fewest in the PL (min 3 yellows). 
  5. QPR: Had 55% of their shots from outside the penalty area this season - a higher percentage than any other Premier League team
  6. Best shooting accuracy in Europe's top 5 leagues (50+ shots): Higuain 63.3% on target, Milito 56.5%, Huntelaar 54.6%, Gomez 54.5%,Kone 54.4%
